The Broward County Tax Collector is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager to join our growing leadership team. This role oversees and directs critical HR functions while helping to shape an organization committed to service, transparency, and excellence.

As the HR Manager, you will guide policies, programs, and staff operations that impact our workforce and the residents we serve. This is a high-impact leadership role with opportunities to design new programs, improve efficiency, and contribute to the foundation of a newly established constitutional office.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead human resources activities in areas such as compensation, benefits, HR technology, staffing services, and employee programs

  • Provide supervision, coaching, and direction to HR staff

  • Develop and implement new policies and programs that improve overall efficiency and employee engagement

  • Partner with executive leadership and managers at all levels to ensure compliance, fairness, and alignment with organizational strategy

  • Deliver consultation, analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making and organizational growth

  • Champion effective communication of mission, vision, and values across the office

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field (HR Certification preferred)

  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience in staffing, recruitment, compensation, organizational development, HR technology, or benefits

  • 4+ years of supervisory experience leading HR teams or comparable leadership roles

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
